Following the dissemination of two pilot countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cambodia – MFTransparency announced the disclosure of the pricing data from Azerbaijan. The data presents a number of interesting trends in pricing practices, product types as well as differentiating factors that underlie the variations in pricing.

MFTransparency announced the disclosure of the pricing data from Azerbaijan

Following the dissemination of two pilot countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cambodia – MFTransparency announced the disclosure of the pricing data from Azerbaijan. The data presents a number of interesting trends in pricing practices, product types as well as differentiating factors that underlie the variations in pricing.

In its effort to generate lively and engaging dialogues, MFTransparency is organizing a webinar where Chuck Waterfield, CEO & President and Alexandra Fiorillo, Vice President of MFTransparency will present the latest data from Azerbaijan. “…this webinar will provide participants the opportunity to interact with the latest data we have collected and discuss some of its implications for the microfinance sector in Azerbaijan” says Alexandra Fiorillo, Vice President of MFTransparency.

The discussions will address a wide range of questions such as comparative trends in various data points between Azerbaijan and other markets, and the effective use of the data in driving meaningful change in the local market.

MFTransparency, a United States-based nonprofit founded in 2008 aims to facilitate transparent disclosure of interest rates and pricing among MFIS. MFTransparency collects and publishes the interest rates charged for microfinance loans on its website and has made public the data of the following countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cambodia:, which started in a few selected countries on a pilot basis. The organization is serially expanding the data collection process globally and is currently collecting data from MFIs in India and plans to take the data online by September 2010.
