MFTransparency presents at Convergences 2015, Paris Appeal for Responsible Microfinance
The Paris Appeal for Responsible Microfinance was launched at the Convergences 2015 World Forum in Paris, May 2011. This initiative was set up to address the excessive commercialization of microfinance, reaffirming the role of microfinance as a tool in the service of development and inclusive finance. The Appeal aims to reinstate ethical values and a social orientation via self-regulation initiatives and rules. These rules will help define responsible microfinance and restore faith among the public.
As part of this event MFTransparency presented on the issue of strengthening pricing regulation in microfinance.
