MFTransparency presents at the Sa-Dhan National Microfinance Conference, Delhi

In March 2010, MFTransparency presented at the Sa-Dhan National Microfinance Conference in Delhi, India. This was held in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (FICCI). The theme of this conference was ‘Financial Inclusion and Responsible Microfinance’.

Sa-Dhan is the association of community development Finance Institutions. The conference sought to provide a common platform for the stakeholders to think collectively on these issues, share experiences and innovations, develop collaborations and synergies for development of the microfinance sector.

MFTransparency delivered two presentations at this conference. The first was on the Implementation of Pricing Transparency in the Indian Microfinance Market. This introduced the Transparent Pricing Initiative to the Indian microfinance market.  The other presentation was on Responsible Finance, focusing on the need for self-regulating the practice. This second presentation was notable as the first presentation made by MFTransparency on the topic of responsible finance.
