TO ALL PHILIPPINE RURAL BANKS: You are invited to a half-day morning workshop on transparent pricing in the Philippines to be held on:

  • March 22, Tuesday, 8:00am for Mindanao banks (Marco Polo Davao, C.M. Recto St., Davao City)

Boasting of 25 years of microfinance experience, Mr. Waterfield has trained over 3,000 professionals and practitioners in the microfinance industry as a business planning professor. He is currently a member of the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs faculty, after teaching at the Boulder Microfinance Training Program and the Southern New Hampshire University’s Microenterprise Development Institute for ten years and eight years, respectively.

He also “developed Microfin, the most popular financial planning software in the microfinance industry” and founded MFTransparency in 2008.  On the other hand, Ms. Fiorillo has had microfinance experience from various places all over the world, including the Middle East, Latin America and Africa. She has worked as MF consultant for various organizations such as Microfund for Women in Jordan and DFID’s Financial Sector Deepening Project of Uganda.

The Mindanao session on March 22 will officially launch the “Transparent Pricing Initiative in the Philippines”, which will offer training on transparent pricing and collect and publish data on the prices of microloans offered in the Philippines. This complimentary workshop is open to both senior management and junior staff, though the team suggests that you send at least one person from the management level and one from the operational level, with detailed knowledge of your organization’s credit portfolio and products, attend the full workshop.
