MFTransparency Colombia Data Launch Conference

On March 31^st 2011 MFTransparency launched the results of the Transparent Pricing Initiative in Colombia, with a two day conference in Santa Marta entitled “Segundo Congreso de la Industria de Microfinanzas en Colombia”.

The publication of this data is a major step forward in the Colombian microfinance industry’s ongoing efforts towards greater transparency and consumer protection. At the conference MFTransparency presented analysis and discussion on the results of the Initiative, as well as an explanation of the dynamics of the cost curve.  These presentations in Colombia, combining education and analysis, will help in continuing to move the process of facilitating transparent pricing in Latin American microfinance markets forward.
