MFTransparency presents at AFMIN Conference, Ghana
In October 2010 MFTransparency presented at the Africa Microfinance Network (AFMIN) Annual Conference. This year’s theme was “Access To Financial Services: Reaching the Excluded”.
The AFMIN is the Sub-Saharan Regional Body of country level Microfinance Networks set up to promote effective and sustainable financial services to financially engaged the poor in Africa. Topics addressed included how to reach people in the rural areas with Microfinance, Protecting the Microcredit Clients, Enhancing Financial Access through Technology, Micro-Insurance for Security, Innovative Savings Mobilization and Interest Rates. Participants were mainly from African Union member countries and development Partners as well as representatives from Ghanaian commercial banks, central bank, government and financial non-governmental organizations.
