MFTransparency presents at MicroCredit Summit, 2011, Valladolid, Spain

The 2011 MicroCredit Summit was held in Valladolid, Spain in November. The event attracted more than 2000 delegates from over 100 countries for 4 days of plenary sessions, workshops, trainings and site visits.

MFTransparency’s Chuck Waterfield presented two key pieces of work at the Summit, including his pioneering work on ethics in pricing “After Transparency, how to Define Fair and Ethical Pricing” and his rationale on profit in MFI initial public share offerings “IPOs are Not Necessary for Growth, IPOs Endanger the Values of Microfinance”.
