MFTransparency presents at Social Performance Task Force Annual Meeting, Netherlands

The 2011 SPTF Annual Meeting was held in Den Bosch, Netherlands from 18th June to 23rd June 2011. The more than 200 attendees included representatives from donors, investors, rating agencies and microfinance networks as well as Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands.

The meeting presented social performance initiatives, indicators and tools, and discussed the state of practice for social performance, governance commitment to social goals, responsible financial performance and client protection standards.

MFTransparency presenting on the issue of defining responsible practice highlighting that the traditional approach to defining performance and responsible practice often ignore the different characteristics of microloans and rely on meaningless averages.
