MFTransparency presents at MicroCredit Summit, Nairobi

In April 2010, MFTransparency presented at the Africa/Middle East Regional Microcredit Summit (AMERMS) in Nairobi, Kenya. This conference aimed to encourage the integration between the microfinance industry with other sectors, and to showcase current projects that have been successfully launched in Africa and the Middle East regions. More than 2000 delegates from over 40 countries joined the event. It also monitored progress towards fulfilling the Microcredit Summit’s two goals for 2015, which are (1) to provide financial services to 175 million of the world’s poorest and (2) to help 100 million families rise above the poverty line.

MFTransparency attended this event, presenting on the topic of “Transparency in Interest Rate Pricing and Other Efforts towards Consumer Protection”
